| The Oregon Humane Society maintains a list of rescue groups in Oregon and Washington to help place the overwhelming number of dogs and other animals that are turned over to humane societies and dog control agencies each year. While the Oregon Humane Society does not endorse any group, a screening process is needed to ensure that groups on the list share the same values, philosophy and goals as the Oregon Humane Society - and that the groups can provide a safe and loving environment while dogs and other animals in their care await adoption.
